Good soil is the key to success. Whether it be in a pot, container or in the ground, it is so important to provide the right growing environment. Well balanced, friable, nutritious and suited to what will be planted in it.

We can help you work with the soil you have – clay, sand or anything in between….

We can advise on the best soil ameliorants – gypsum, microbes, humus building additives and the incorporation of fabulous, well made Compost.

Food, food, glorious food. Using the correct fertiliser for your soil and plants is also critical to their ability to thrive and grow. Some plants respond better to slow release feeding, others need something more gentle. Liquid feeding is a great way to give your plants an instant lift as it is able to be taken up more quickly.

Fun Fact: Did you know Seaweed extract alone is not a fertiliser? It acts as a strengthening tonic for the plant but does not provide nutrition! It should always be paired with liquid/soluble fertiliser for best results.

Many plants will tell you when they are hungry or are deficient in a particular mineral. Citrus leaves especially will show you tell tale patterns to identify what they are specifically lacking. Many Australian Native plants (especially Grevillea sp.) are not able to take up iron in alkaline soil environments, which will present as yellowing leaves. This can be corrected in the short term by the addition of iron in a chelated form.
